Trauma – Invisible wounds: Healing the pain no one sees

Trauma

Trauma is a wound of the soul, an experience so intense and painful that the mind struggles to fully process it. It is not only dramatic events that can cause trauma. Sometimes, difficult situations such as a troubled childhood, bullying, the loss of a loved one or repeated abuse can leave deep wounds that continue to affect your life, even without you realising it.

Trauma can show up in many different ways: you might often feel anxious without understanding why, struggle to trust others or experience overwhelming emotions. At times, you may feel an emptiness inside or be afraid to show who you truly are.

In my role as a psychotherapist, my commitment is to welcome what you carry inside with respect and patience, without haste or judgement. Using techniques such as EMDR or transactional analysis, I will gently guide you to look at those wounds with compassion, gradually release the burden you have been carrying for so long, and help you uncover new inner resources of strength and calm.

Trauma cannot be erased, but it can be transformed: you can learn to live with it without being paralysed by it and rediscover your ability to live fully. The first step is to speak about it and you are not alone on this path.
