When your mood speaks about you

Mood

At times, there may be days when you feel light, present, almost in tune with what you are experiencing. And then there are moments when everything seems to switch off, as if a cloud has settled over you, without any clear reason.

Sometimes you are full of energy and overflowing with ideas, and the very next day, you struggle just to get out of bed. Or you might find yourself feeling irritable over the smallest things, with no idea where all that tension is coming from.

This is what mood is: an invisible thread that runs through and accompanies our days. Sometimes it supports us, other times it confuses us, limits us or makes us feel out of place, even when, from the outside, everything seems fine.

Often, mood carries a message with it. A signal that something within us needs space: an unmet need, a pain that has not yet been heard, a part of us that feels neglected.

In therapy, it is not about “fixing” how you feel, but about learning to truly listen to yourself. To recognise what you are experiencing without judgement, to understand where the discomfort or instability is coming from, and most importantly, to find new ways to care for yourself.

Together, we can explore your emotional states like one explores an inner landscape: with curiosity, respect and calm. Not to force yourself to feel “good all the time”, but to help you find a more authentic and stable balance, one in which even difficult emotions have a place, but not the control.

Each session is a step towards a clearer, more conscious and more personal emotional life.

If you recognise yourself in these words, we could begin exploring together what is happening inside you.

Psychotherapy does not offer ready-made answers, but it can provide a safe space where you can learn to listen to yourself, even to the parts you have set aside until now.
