Expat

A quote from MANDELA says: “If you speak to a man in a language he understands, the message reaches his head. If you speak to him in his language, it reaches his heart.”
EXPATS, expatriates, are people who reside abroad (even temporarily) for reasons of education, work, love, among others. Each of these people has faced a decision that they have had to make: leave their country and face this important change.

Although living abroad is an enriching experience from different points of view, it is not always easy to start this new chapter of life. For some it may be difficult to adapt to the new lifestyle, for others it may be difficult to find new friends, some may feel floating between two or more countries and fear that they will never be able to find their “home” again. Others may feel a strong nostalgia for their loved ones and others may feel stifled by the bureaucracy that comes with moving.

Each of these people, each of these movements has their own unique story that deserves to be heard and accepted. Being an Italian, who has been living abroad for several years, I have deep respect and a sincere understanding of the difficulties that an expatriate can experience. Furthermore, I consider important that in therapy sessions the person can feel free to express themselves in their native language.

If you feel recognised for living the same experience in your life, I invite you to contact me to explore your difficulties together. I offer Short and Long Term Therapy service for EXPAT adults in ITALIAN, ENGLISH AND SPANISH.
